The jaws are connected by the selfcentering mechanism, so when a jaw moves from its position, the others move simmultaniusly. Although the part, which has to be removed, is in an uncomfortable position, the puller's positioning is improved.
This puller is very safe because, thanks to its mechanism, it cannot be opened beyond the maximum recommended opening. It is dangerous to open to much a puller because the holded part can slip, or the puller can be broken.
The arms are slotted in order to pull of the screws.
