Climbing Pipe Cutting and Bevelling Machines

TC Series of pipe cutting and beveling machine is the pipe processing equipment independently developed by our company based on the market and prospect of pipe service industry. Travel cutter is secured to the pipe by a special tensioning/drive chain. The utilizes a powerful, sealed closed loop hydraulic drive system, ideally suited for hostile environments or for use underwater.

  • Preferred Cold Cutting Method: Travel Cutter has been used in a wide range of applications, including natural gas, crude product and fuel lines, radioactive environments;
  • Compact, Portable Design: Light, low cut design, only 10”-12” gap, less than 10 minutes to install;
  • A Wide Range of Applications: Operate in the full of silt, trenches and 25 meters underwater;
  • Better Stability: The structure is strong and durable, and the service life can reach 20-30 years;
  • Stronger Corrosion Resistance: Use the parts which can effectively resist the corrosion.

Milling cutters

In the basic configuration, the pipe cutter is supplied with three milling cutters: a chamfer with a positive angle (LH) of 30°, a chamfer with a negative angle (RH) of 30 ° and a cutting one. According to individual orders of the client, they are equipped with milling cutters for chamfering at an angle of 37°, and we also have the opportunity to make a tool for chamfering with the necessary angle to order.

Make sure the equipment is securely attached to the workpiece before starting work. It is the operator's responsibility to ensure the stability of the installed tool.

Recommendations for use

• After the pipe has been cut in half, insert a steel wedge into the slot so that the pipe does not jam the cutter during further sawing.
• When machining cast iron and steel, use a cutting fluid to avoid excessive overheating of the material and to maintain the sharpness of the cutter.
• Use the special guide when cutting in a vertical position or when high precision is required on the workpiece.
• Adjust the feed rate to reduce or eliminate torch overload. The feed valve must open very slowly to achieve a lower feed rate. For full control of the feed rate, install a throttling valve in the supply line.
• Maximum effective cutting speed on ductile iron is approximately one minute per inch of diameter. Some cast iron or heavy-walled steel pipe will require a lower feed rate when chamfering.
